It's pretty much the same !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! that other dealer groups in other states are fighting. I think it's dumb. Tesla treats their employees well and the customers are happy with the system. The only person that their way hurts is the owners of these massive dealer groups.

"Well my grandpappy opened my dealership, and he passed it down to my father who then passed it down to me. I worked hard to keep it from sinking and I'm entitled to sell cars and no one is going to bring in a better system and hurt my business dag-nabbit!"

Honestly, I can see them existing together. I am not sure of what the big fear is. I guess other than other manufacturers getting the same idea. But "traditional" dealerships and Tesla dealerships should have no problem. Like is like Best Buy throwing a fit when Apple wants to open an Apple store.

Is there any way for consumers to have a say in a court proceeding such as this, especially since we're the ones who win or lose the most on this.

I am writing a letter that I will send to the judge of the case as well as the dealerships named on the case

I was hoping Lawsohard would comment on the feasability of consumers getting their say in this matter. My limited knowledge of law (handful of courses in college) makes me think we have no standing in court, even though logic says we should.

I think interested parties can file an amicus brief. Not sure what legal requirements are required to be considered an interested party though.

I actually had a better idea, entitled "occupy dealerships."

You basically show up and start asking inane questions, such as;

Go to a Porsche dealer, ask if you could get a car in British Racing Green. Go to a Ford dealer, ask if the Expedition has a hybrid version. Go to Chevy, ask if you can get a mid-engined Sonic. Go to Chrysler, ask them if they understand how electricity works.

You know, drive them all insane.
